The Outreach Committee is truly a special group within the Louisville Apartment Association that I feel very fortunate to be involved in. Over the past 2 years, the committee has grown together, welcoming new members, in service to our local community. Being a part of the Outreach Committee offers me an opportunity to be a part of many special projects that I would not be exposed to otherwise. I am humbled to work with such an extraordinary group of selfless people.
Committee members volunteer their time and talent throughout the year to collect donations, provide meals, and serve the homeless, all while strengthening the bond we have as a group. Watching the children's faces light up at our Reverse Trick-or-Treat event is always special to me personally. Their innocent joy and gratitude is a wonderful reminder to be grateful for all the little blessings that we have in our lives. Serving meals to families in turmoil and distributing backpacks to the homeless in our community are just a few of the other incredible projects we are involved in throughout the year.
The experiences we have had and will continue to gain through the committee are extremely rewarding. The appreciation shown to us from those we serve is truly a gift and we are humbled to continue sharing our gifts year after year.
