Louisville's New Fair Housing Ordinance and LMHA's Housing Choice Voucher Program
On 11/19/2020 Louisville Metro Council passed a new Fair Housing Ordinance. This new ordinance now requires landlords to accept the Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LMHA)'s Housing Choice Vouchers as a form of income starting March 1, 2021. The new ordinance also prohibits discrimination in renting to persons based on arrest history, conviction history, homeless status, and prior military service.
